Water Rail

One of the many problems with fitting the engine is that in making sure that the sump clears the front lower rail it is then further back than the pinto engine would be and the plastic thermostatic housing fouls the cross member.

To enable the sump to clear the rail and the thermostat housing to not clash with the cross member it is necessary to remove the thermostat housing and replace it with a water rail.

I chose the Raceline Water Rail and as you can see this brings the housing nearer to the front of the engine and gives that much needed extra few millimeters.
