Oil Catch Tank

The oil catch tank is intended to be used to stop those drops of oil left on the driveway from the crankcase or cam shaft cover breather.

Normally a pipe would be attached to the cam cover and a filter placed on the end, unfortunately this creates two problems, an oily engine bay and embarassing spots on the driveway. The solution is to run the pipes into a catch tank and then run a pipe from the catch tank to the filter, problem solved.  The picture below shows the hose from the crank case and the hose from the cam cover while the third top hose goes to the breather.

                      The pictures below shows the breather outlet, the third picture shows the hose from the top of the catch tank going down to the breather.
